How your information is used.

When a DPP enters a DPT into the database, including a customer’s name, phone number, social security number, and other personal information we use this information to help DPPs establish customer eligibility for a DPT.

The identifying information contained in the database for DPPs, which is authorized under section 560.404, Florida Statutes, is confidential and exempt from section 119.07(1), Florida Statutes, except that the identifying information in the database may be accessed by other DPPs to verify whether any are outstanding for a particular person and by the Office of Financial Regulation for the purpose of maintaining the database.

We do not sell or rent information to third parties for marketing programs or for any other purpose.

Limited distribution of personal information.

At the direction of a DPP (when the "Submit" button is clicked), the information provided to us will be processed through the FLADPP system and the appropriate response will returned to the DPP. All of the DPPs in our network operate under federal and/or state laws and regulations. FLADPP will treat information sent indirectly through a DPP in the same manner it treats the information submitted directly through the website.

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Veritec uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to safeguard your sensitive personal information during on-line transactions. Using this widely accepted form of encryption, your transaction is secured from your personal computer to the Comptroller's Office computers processing your request, and the processing computers are located behind a secure firewall. This method protects your information.

This notice should not be construed in any way as guaranteeing, or warranting as fail proof, the security of information exchanged between DPPs and Veritec.
